Liz and Sophie are taking on the challenge of the London 10k surrounded by the fascinating landmarks of the capital.

Bupa London 10k will be held on the course which is expected to be used for the 2012 Olympic Marathons.

During the race they will pass many of London’s famous sights, including Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, The London Eye, Cleopatra’s Needle, Tate Gallery, St Paul’s Cathedral, Nelson’s Column and Admiralty Arch. Buckingham Palace is the backdrop to the start and finish.

The reason for this challenge..... to raise funds for the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS)

Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is a chronic, progressive and disabling auto-immune disease affecting 0.8% of the UK adult population.  It is a systemic disease which means that it can affect the whole body and internal organs (although this is not the case for everyone with RA) such as the lungs, heart and eyes.

It affects approximately 3 times more women than men and onset is generally between 40 - 60 years of age although it can occur at any age. There are around 12,000 children under the age of 16 with the juvenile form of the disease (JRA)

If you would like to sponsor Liz or Sophie then you can do so by visiting their sponsorship page

Thank you for any support you can give....... x

Its not very often that feel good news stories come to light... The news is often full of lifes negatives...

So imagine my joy today when a simple request on Twitter by entrepreneur, Duncan Bannatyne turned into a true feel good story... one that reminds people that there is still good in the World....

Mrs Bannatyne had arrived for 'The Noble Gift Gala' at the Dorchester Hotel but soon realised she had left her dress on the train....  Duncan decided to use the wisdom of Twitter...

Posting from his Twitter page - "Mrs Bannatyne has just arrived, she left her dress on the 8.47 Virgin train from Milton Keynes to Euston Big reward if found" adding later that if the dress could be found then there was a reward of £1000...

Mr Bannatynes followers soon jumped to the rescue, asking for descriptions of the dress, which carriage Mrs Bannatyne had been in etc...

Before long, Duncan received word from a fellow Twitterer, John Power @johno4501, that the dress had been found and passed onto the lost property office at Euston Station.

Taken by surprise, Duncan double checked this was the case.  It would seem that John was Virgins Train Manager and had called Euston to find the dress.

As promised, Mr Bannatyne offered to send John the £1000 reward but explaining that he did not need a reward, John asked for it to be donated to CLIC Sargent

Later on Duncan took a picture that showed Mrs Bannatyne looking stunning in the dress.....

This has truly made my day!

"One of the sanest, surest, and most generous joys of life comes from being happy over the good fortune of others.

A little bit of what you fancy does you the world of good...... and thats why a couple of months ago we booked ourselves a break to CenterParcs in Sherwood Forest....

We'd been counting down the weeks and so when the day arrived, we eagerly packed up the car and headed off.... It was also the week after my Dad had been taken ill and was definitely needed...

Well, just got back from a lovely holiday in Sherwood Forest. We had a couple of days of relaxing and a couple of days of fun.

On the Monday, we arrived at around 3pm, unpacked and then made our way to our moonlit spa session.

On the Tuesday we had a day of sitting by the fire, whilst feeding the local wildlife and tucking into pizza.

Wednesday we went out for a spot of archery, which I'm sure Helly would say she was better than me at but truth be told, I was best. Of course we both could use a lot of practicing.

Then on the Thursday we had a fun couple of hours out, driving dirt buggies in the rain and mud. Considering how the weather was, I don't think I'd have enjoyed it quite as much if it was dry. We had a good bit of rear wheel sliding going on. Helly got covered in mud from head to toe.

Then finally, on the Friday, we took a leisurely drive home.

I'm quite sure Helly will have a more verbose report soon.

I have decided, jelly beans from the Jelly Bean Factory are much better than Jelly Belly Beans. The only problem is, I manage to eat too many of them, too quickly.
